Doors open on hundreds of new homes above Gadigal Station

Sydney CBD’s first build-to-rent tower has opened above Gadigal Station on the M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line, delivered by CPB Contractors as part of the city-shaping Sydney Metro, City & Southwest project.

Indi Sydney has been under construction for two years and was built by CPB Contractors in tandem with the new Sydney Metro Gadigal Station, which sits directly below the new terracotta-coloured build-to-rent tower.

Camillo Masci, CPB Contractors Executive General Manager, Building, attended the opening, noting the expertise, productive approach and collaboration involved in delivering the 39-storey tower.

“We’re really proud to have delivered this fantastic building, which will become home to more than 500 residents”, he stated.

“Our CPB Contractors team took a collaborative, methodical approach to constructing this over-station development. We worked closely with our clients - Sydney Metro, Investa and Oxford Property Group, and supply chain partners to navigate the complexities of large-scale projects, particularly one being constructed on top of a new metro station,” shares Camillo.

“CPB Contractors thrives in these types of challenging, technically complex projects, and I’m proud of our team's achievements here.”

Indi Sydney features hotel-style communal amenities, including co-working space and bookable meeting rooms; a wellness level with a lap pool, spa, sauna, yoga space, and gym; and a rooftop lounge and dining room with a kitchen and BBQ area. The building offers tenants flexible lease terms and a pet-friendly policy, among other benefits.

Beyond delivering a fast, reliable and frequent transport service, Sydney Metro plays a key role in creating great places where people want to live.

Indi Sydney is one of two over-station developments atop the new Gadigal Station, both of which are being delivered by CPB Contractors. Further north on Pitt Street, teams are progressing on a companion over-station project, a new premium office tower for the CBD called Parkline Place.
